GSE Team from Dhanbad, India

Today I traveled to Oriental, NC to visit Luv Kumar Kamra and the GSE team from Dhanbad, India. GSE means Group Study Exchange in Rotary. A Rotarian is the team leader and guides a group of four or five non Rotarian professionals between the ages of 25 and 40 to a host country. The team are abassadors for Rotary and help to promote cultural and vocational understanding between the two countries. Luv led his team from District 3250 in India to District 7720 in North Carolina. Another group from North Carolina visited India this past March.

Luv’s club in Dhanbad and my club joined in the Rotary Twin City model to establish a library at St. Anthony’s School in Dhanbad. Now Luv is here with a GSE Team for District 7720 which is the District next door to mine.

Strange how things work out isn’t it? Take a look at the pictures from today. Luv and the team members are enjoying Indian food. The first they have had since leaving home.
