Hope
Hope is a feeling we all have to have to survive. Without it, your soul is lost. I wrote this poem a few years back and wanted to share it. It is copywrited so if you want to use it please ask. Thanks!

Sometimes when you have a vision,
That no one else can see.
You want to stop and ask.
Lord? Why did you give it to ME?
Sometimes when you have a voice,
That no one else can hear.
You often begin to wonder,
Lord? What do they fear?
The times when you were hurt
And you had to take the blame.
Did you ever stop and pray?
Lord? Do they have no shame?
Those years that you struggled
To bring peace to them all
Did you ever think
Lord? Why did they back me against the wall?
The days you had no fight left
When the world was much too cold.
The questions kept coming.
Lord? Do they want my soul?
When times were the lowest,
And hope was almost gone
That’s when you began to wonder.
Lord? How long can this go on?
Just when you thought it was over
And the dream was at its end.
You realized that it is never over.
It’s simply time to begin again.
The struggles you had to conquer.
The battles you have won.
Helped to mold you into,
That strong person you have become.
If you think you’ve not made a difference,
When your heart is filled with pain.
You may never know whom you have touched.
But know this. It has not been in vain.
When those around you,
Seem to never grow and change.
We must keep trying to make them see,
How much they have to gain.
When the trials seem endless,
And are much too hard to take.
Never give up the hope,
Because there is too much at stake.
Just when you think you have lost the vision
And you don’t feel the will.
Believe you have a destiny,
And you find it when you are quiet and when you are still.
Remember who you are now
And how you’ve gotten this far
Always stand tall and proud
And never stop reaching for the stars.
The shape of your life,
Should be a light for others to see.
This is a reminder of the vision you thought you had lost.
Lord. Thank you for giving it to ME.
